Zinsky is a self-taught artist born and brought up in the UK. He appeared on the art scene in 2008 and has made quite an impact with his unique portraits, gaining followers and collectors from all over the world and from all walks of life. His individual style fuses classical portraiture with his admiration of street art and abstract expressionism.
After spending several years living in Barcelona, Edinburgh and Brighton, Zinsky now lives to the north of Madrid in Spain.
He is represented by Demontfort Fine Art.
It all started in Spalding .......
Back in 2008 after months of working alongside close friend and gallery owner Mark Fisher it was clear to see the demand for Zinsky's truly unique style of work was huge, an exhibition was planned....
Over the 4 days the exhibition was held at The Lincolnshire Galley all 60 works sold for around £1000 each making the show a raging success. Mark says: “It was amazing, but it didn’t stop there. Zinsky decided to live and work in Barcelona for a while and produced a series of vibrant street scenes and landscapes – quite different from his punchy portrayals of celebrities. These comprised his second exhibition in 2010 – and this time it only took 15 minutes for every single painting to be snapped up by keen collectors".
Mark and Zinsky provided paintings for a number of celebrities back in the day....
To date, Zinsky original art collectors are world-wide, with UK aficionados including Maxim of the Prodigy,HRH Princess Anne and Dragon’s Den multi-millionaire businessman Duncan Ballatyne.
Demand continued to grow to the point where paintings were being sold before viewings and even before they were 100% dry. As time went on the style of Zinsky's work became more confident and much more experimental, the artist has no limits.
It was not long after the two successfull local exhibitions that Zinsky's talent was spotted by the UK's leading art publisher and seller of fine art Demontfort Fine Art. Signing and exclusive contract all work is now sold via Demontfort.
Demontfort-"Zinsky's remarkable portraits capture the essence of his subject in a way that sets his work apart from that of his contemporaries. In a world where the art of the icon is in such great demand, he brings something new and exciting to this hugely popular genre. The confidence and skill he demonstrates within his compositions combines with the speed and spontaneity with which he works, demonstrating a raw talent that is completely natural".
Zinsky's first major exhibition was soon penciled in upon his arrival to Demont. Claredon Fine Art in Mayfair is a stunning venue in the heart of London (with a fantastic boozer across the road, big up the Clarence!!!) Zinsky's work held its own amongst some of the counties most recognised artists on show in the various galleries around the Mayfair area.
The show was again a huge success.
Zinsky continues working with Demontfort and after a number of shows and selling paintings across the country his carrer looks to be going from strength to strength.
